I am a senior in high school, and it's second semester. Does that mean I should be slacking off? No, probably not. Am I? Oh, god yes. As long as I keep my grades up so that I don't get rejected from U of M, I don't really see the point in trying academically. Except possibly in my AP Lit and Euro class... and maybe Pre-Calc. Everything else isn't as important to my state of zen, though.
Honestly, if it weren't for that pesky thing called Attendance-Based-Failure, I'd stay home all the time and watch anime or read fanfiction. And that would work for me until September. Then I'd need to get my work ethic back for the possibility of Honors College.
Though it's become really hard to respect the school's attendance policy, seeing as how they've changed it four times this year in an attempt to find an effective policy that works. Not to mention those damn IDs we now have to wear so as not to risk a two-hour detention. Protection, my ass. How a 4X2 inch piece of plastic with my picture on it will keep me safe, I will never know.
Sigh.
